Limited Visibility

For those of you who know the “Punch”, you know that I’m a perfectionist. That said I have had a tuff time finding myself online (search terms etc..). There are a million new gizmo’s and gadgets out there that claim to help you get better ranking and search-ability. I have tried them all, the free ones (like there is on this site), the paid ones (PPC, SEO) and everything in between. OK. I give up. Is there an out-of-the-box remedy? What can I do to filter the trash from the treasure? The all-in-one SEO pack is a helpful start. It gives me the ability to “tag” as I go. I have installed an XML site-map that updates after every post. I feel like these are a good foundation.

Back-links, are supposed to help with your rank, riding the coat tails of the linkee. I must be doing it wrong because when I use my webmaster tools I never see any links. I add content regularly, and comment an link to other blogs. What else is there.

I have commented on other sites and have found that ,that is the most rewarding but I don’t have time to read and write all day. I am open to advice and opinions. I know the sandbox I play in is crowded, but there is always room for one more!

  1. I am still trying to find the right marketing tools. Any advice would be great, but as everyone else has told me, advertising takes time, money and patience.

  2. Hey Mike!

I was just browsing around the blog and thought i’d drop you a line. I like the work that you’ve done and congrats on the PR1 rank. I wrote a review about your website at http://www.ReviewPage.com/review.php?id=124

You should add one of our logos with a link to your review on the right side with all of the other tools. You can find our ‘buttons’ at http://www.reviewpage.com/linktous.php

I have a bunch of articles and stuff I am going to be writing for ReviewPage.com users to read, which are mostly about how to avoid scams and getting ripped off. Let me know if you are going to be writing anything about how to avoid getting ripped off or scammed when purchasing a product or service from/or through a local business or a website.

    Keep up the good work!
