I think that most internet marketers will tell you that “print flyers” don’t work. Isn’t the hand off of business cards much the same?
The next no-no is the lack of internal online marketing efforts. I have actually heard SEM’s say that the online marketing industry is not served well through the web? Are they serious?
Where else will compnaies not yet visible go, to police their page rank and position, the web. Maybe during these ranking audits the business owner will choose to see or learn what and about, their options are for internet marketing oppurtunity. Internet marketing agency’s need to have an online presence, more than just a phone book listing. Many internet marketing ageny’s have a method or technique they use. This is where social media can play a key role. More agency’s need to contribute and support social media efforts. This is where the majority of consumers do the research.
In conclusion, when choosing the best internet marketing consultant to develop you online strategy, look at their online strategy. Find out what the agency is doing to embrace emerging technologies. And last but not least, Google “the best internet marketing consultant” and make your decision.
